§1. General Provisions
These Rules and Regulations define the principles of organization and participation in the Chess Conference.
The Conference is of an educational and sporting nature.
Participation in the Conference is free of charge but requires prior registration.
The number of places is limited to 250 participants.
§2. Date and Venue
The Conference will take place on 13 April 2026 at Arena Katowice (conference hall of the Katowice Municipal Stadium), 1 Nowa Bukowa Street, 40-803 Katowice, Poland.
The Organizers reserve the right to change the date or venue of the Conference for reasons beyond their control.
Participants will be informed of any changes via email and through the event website.
§3. Registration
Registration is carried out via an online registration form.
Participation is determined on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration is personal and non-transferable.
§4. Image Rights
Photographs and video recordings may be taken during the Conference.
By participating in the Conference, the participant consents to the free-of-charge use of their image for promotional purposes.
The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
§5. Personal Data
The Organizers act as joint controllers of personal data.
Personal data are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Participants have the right to access, rectify, erase their personal data and to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
§6. Liability
The Organizers shall not be liable for items left unattended.
Participants are liable for any damage they cause.
§7. Final Provisions
These Rules and Regulations shall be governed by Polish law.
These Rules and Regulations enter into force on the date of publication.
